Carbonization

A lokacin da ake samar da iskar carbon, ana ruguza albarkatun ƙasa ta hanyar zafi a cikin yanayin da ba shi da hayaƙi, a yanayin zafi ƙasa da 800 ºC. Ta hanyar samar da iskar gas, ana cire abubuwa kamar iskar oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, da sulfur daga kayan da aka samar.

Kunnawa

Dole ne a kunna kayan da aka yi amfani da su wajen samar da iskar carbon, ko kuma char, don samar da cikakken tsarin ramin. Ana yin hakan ta hanyar sanya iskar oxygen a yanayin zafi tsakanin 800-900 ºC a gaban iska, carbon dioxide, ko tururi.

Dangane da tushen kayan, ana iya aiwatar da tsarin samar da carbon mai kunnawa ta amfani da ko dai kunna zafi (na zahiri/tururi), ko kunna sinadarai. A kowane hali, ana iya amfani da murhun juyawa don sarrafa kayan zuwa carbon mai kunnawa.
